What's in your Yard?

Allan Kaprow "YARD (To Harrow)" 1961

snow covered Yard - in | out

Materials from life come and go as do the tread on our tires. Kaprow brought us Happenings as a way to cross over into familiar experiences with common objects.

You too can recreate this fantatstic installation by acquiring 120 tires fill gallery/ yoga size room and voila! A fresh yard...Tires are hard to dispose of. If you bury your Goodyears they will explode!

Helicopters in Griffith

I really enjoy friendly helicopter pilots....as one comes up Garbage Hill on the other side of the park you can reach the helicoper pad. This pilot was gratious enough to let me pass so he could raise a dust storm.
